The Clio Trophy Belgium begins its fourth season this year. As usual, the leading trophy in the Belgian Rally Championship (BRC) has taken all necessary measures to keep the annual entry fee at a competitive rate of €2,000 incl VAT, or €1,000 incl VAT for competitors who have already participated in the Clio Trophy in previous years and already have an official race suit.
The "just for fun" formula is intended for participants who want to discover Clio Trophy Belgium during a maximum of one heat. The entry fee for the team is then just 700 € including VAT for the race in question. This price does not include the official clothing of ALPINE RACING. That registration for a single rally does entitle the team to points and premiums. Of course, this amount can be deducted when subsequently registering for the full season. The Clio Trophy Belgium remains the most competitive Cup, both in terms of performance and cost.
Adjustment of the calendar
Following the cancellation of the Aarova Rally Oudenaarde, it was decided to include the A&D Omloop van Vlaanderen on the calendar This race is characterised by narrow and slippery asphalt tracks in West Flanders. It is a real proving ground. This BRC round is no stranger to Clio Trophy Belgium, as the A&D Omloop van Vlaanderen was already on the calendar in 2021 and 2022.
"The course is not known yet, but it is always a difficult course. They are often local specialists who are very fast and the course offers no margin for error. On those tests, our young drivers can show their talent and the already established ones can show what they still have to offer," Sandrine Wanson, the Clio Trophy Belgium coordinator for MY Racing, stressed with a laugh. "As far as the calendar is concerned, this date fits perfectly into our schedule. Moreover, this race also remains financially affordable, so we remain true to our policy of reducing costs."
The Clio Trophy Belgium calendar has five heats this season. The 2024 Junior champion will win an "all in" entry to the 2025 Monte-Carlo Rally at the wheel of a Renault Clio Rally3.
