Automobielclub Midden Vlaanderen (AMV) was founded in 1959 by a few enthusiastic motorsport-loving citizens of Roeselare. In the same year, the first Omloop van Vlaanderen took place. The rally cars then started from the Grote Markt in Roeselare. In the early years, a rally consisted only of \"Regularity\" sections where the rally cars used the public road. The races were mainly held at night to disturb other traffic less.<\/p>\n

Starting in 1990, the rally centre moved to the EXPO Hallen in Roeselare for the 31st edition. For the 50th edition, the rally cars returned once more to the centre of Roeselare where they took the Polenplein as the night park on Friday evening. On Saturday morning, the race then started in front of the Roeselare Town Hall on the Grote Markt. From its 50th anniversary, the car club was also allowed to bear the title \"Royal\" (KAMV).
Due to the construction of a new swimming pool on the EXPO Roeselare car park, the Omloop van Vlaanderen moved to the Stationsplein in Roeselare for its 57th edition in 2016.
Starting with the 58th edition, the rally centre was housed around the roundabout thv JB Motorsport on the Zwaaikomstraat in Roeselare. For the current edition, this will again be \"the place to be\"!<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The city of Roeselare has hosted the Omloop van Vlaanderen, Belgium's oldest car rally, since 1959. Besides car racing, Roeselare is also known for its love of cycling. The KOERS museum on the Polenplein is definitely worth a visit!<\/p>\n

Albrecht Rodenbach gave his name to the well-known beer \"Rodenbach\" that many a rally fanatic looks forward to while visiting the rally. Roeselare, as the centre of the province of West Flanders, also manifests itself as a popular and progressive shopping city. The economic climate in and around Roeselare is one of the most flourishing in the coastal province.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

The revamped rally centre created for the 2018 edition will be retained. The formula in which we want to centralise service Zone - start KP Zoning - stage into one interlocking zone was welcomed by participants - local residents - visitors.<\/p>

Add to this the conviviality of a rally bar - plenty of nice food stalls with a varied offer - music and we can speak of an experience centre open to all for free during the race.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
